It’s difficult to imagine that Peter and John were reprimanded for healing a man who was lame since birth, but that is what Acts 4 records. What develops from that becomes a lesson for us in talking about Jesus. Whether you are an expert in evangelism, or if you struggle with how to do it, Acts 4 serves as a help to the Christian witness.

The healing that takes place in Acts 3 is incredible, but it would be a mistake to think that this was just a display of God’s power at work in His disciples. The formerly lame man is healed to physically display the Gospel.

I recognize that there are a number of people who have been hurt by the church, some have an institutional view of the church (solely a street address), but we have to get past this. The early church community was rooted in Christ, and sought Him out in everything. Acts 2:42-47
