I should not be amazed at God’s timing, but I often am. Acts 12:1-19 was what I had scheduled myself to preach at the end of last year, I had no idea that I would be preaching it at a time in my life when I often approached God in tears and heart ache. I am so very grateful for God’s word, and I am so very grateful that it speaks to us, and into us.

At first glance Acts 1:12-26 may read like a brief history of the early church, but in recording their history, Luke shows us what the early church was immediately focused on- the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. 20 centuries later, we need to be asking if this is our focus as well.
