In 2 Peter 1:12-15, Peter gives us an indication that his life is about to come to an end. In these few verses he tells us how he plans to spend his life here on earth- to always remind us of the truth. The reason; because memory is one of the tools that God uses to shape and form us in the image of Christ.

Power and Promise
All of the gospel is a promise. All of it. So what happens when a doubt sneaks in because we’ve known people who have broken their promises, or who have tried, but couldn’t keep their promises? Is God like that? And what does He promise us? 2 Peter 1:3-4 is still considered the introduction, so this is in a lot of ways just a sneak peek at what the rest of the letter has in store for us.
A Genuine Faith
We begin a new series from 2 Peter, “Finding what is true in a world of false;” and in this message we see the foundation Peter lays to ensure we find what is true and cling to it: that we have a genuine faith. So what does genuine faith look like? We might list a number of things that are the fruit of faith, but ultimately we must start by looking at Jesus Christ, the author of our faith.
It Takes A Congregation
Psalm 121, a song of ascents, teaches us the necessity of the church- the body of Christ that a Christian is supposed to be a part of. The necessity comes because we have fears, we have doubts, and we need to be encouraged by these brothers and sisters. This message comes to us from Brian Lowery who is Campus minister at Lincoln Christian University.

Suffering is a Blessing
Often when trouble of any kind finds us we respond with “why me?” as if suffering were something we should run away from at all cost. Yet Peter gives us perspective when it comes to suffering, going so far as to refer to it as a blessing… Why would suffering ever be considered a blessing? We find the answer in 1 Peter 4:12-19
Why Don’t We Sin?
After looking at 1 Peter 4:1-2, which deals with ceasing from sin, the following verses chase after the “why”- Why don’t we sin?
The Calling of God
We talk about the calling of God as if He only calls some people to specific areas of the mission field… but there’s a side of calling that we rarely explore, the fact that God calls sinners to Himself. The pursuit of this message from 1 Peter 3:8-12 focuses on how it is that we should respond.
