Youth Group meets on Sundays in the FLC (enter off Monroe) at 6:30 PM. We start with a meal, but then break off into groups as we study God’s word. This is open to students from 7th grade to 12th grade.

Work Night
Come by anytime on Monday, August 27th, after 6 PM to lend a hand on any number of projects we have going on at WCC’s building (20 E. Third Street). All skill levels can participate in this work night.
Suffering is a Blessing
Often when trouble of any kind finds us we respond with “why me?” as if suffering were something we should run away from at all cost. Yet Peter gives us perspective when it comes to suffering, going so far as to refer to it as a blessing… Why would suffering ever be considered a blessing? We find the answer in 1 Peter 4:12-19

The Calling of God
We talk about the calling of God as if He only calls some people to specific areas of the mission field… but there’s a side of calling that we rarely explore, the fact that God calls sinners to Himself. The pursuit of this message from 1 Peter 3:8-12 focuses on how it is that we should respond.

Over the years the word “church” has become empty to some, and a curse word to others. I hope that this message serves as medicine, I hope that it heals us to not only see the church as God sees her, but to be the church that God calls us to be. Our text is 1 Peter 2:4-10
Two Responses to Jesus
In 1 Peter 2:4-10 we see God’s perspective of Jesus; Chosen, Precious… the chief Cornerstone. And that turns a question back to us: How do we see Him? What do we do with Jesus? There are really only two responses: Believe, or don’t believe. So what are the consequences of each of those conditions?
Since You Are Born Again
Our Easter message from 1 Peter 1:22-2:3… “Since we are born again,” if Christ has died and rose again for me there is a question that now marks my life: “How should I then live?”
