The Lord’s Supper
July 7, 2016
Luke 22:14-20 is the text we used as WCC celebrated a Communion service together. The purpose was to take something we do every week and look at it in a way that would prevent it from becoming routine.
Teach Us to Pray
June 30, 2016
When Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray, His instruction isn’t about methods but on our perspective of God. How does your prayer life change knowing that you are speaking to “our Father in heaven?”
Learning to Listen
June 21, 2016
Our first Biblical introduction to God is of Him speaking the world into existence, then Christ calls us to “learn from Him,” so it stands to reason that we should expect God to speak to us. The big question then is “Will we listen?” Our text is Mark 3:22-30.

Flee, Follow, Fight
June 2, 2016

Paul directs Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:3-12 with 3 words- “Flee, Follow, Fight.” If we are to remain pure there is somethings we must flee from, somethings we must follow, and always be ready to fight.
An Example

This is where “Practically Jesus” comes to a head; how is it that we are to live like Jesus? The answer is, as an example. Christians need to live in a way that they can say “follow me because I am following Christ.” In 1 Timothy 4:11-16, Paul tells Timothy how to live as an example- in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.
Do Something!
May 19, 2016
A while back newspapers mocked prayer as being a lazy response to trouble. 2 Timothy points out the reality of prayer- that it is the best thing we can do. Not only because we ask the Almighty God for help, but because in prayer He often shows us how to respond.
How We Endure
May 19, 2016
It is always difficult to see someone who starts off strong following Jesus suddenly fall away. In this passage Paul tells Timothy how each of us can endure.
